Beckum. Swerved to avoid deer - Blood sample taken

On Sunday, January 12, 2025, around 7:35 PM, a driver swerved to avoid a deer on Mühlenweg in Beckum, according to his statement. The 38-year-old man veered off the road to the left with his car and came to a stop in a ditch.
During the accident investigation, the police officers determined that the man was intoxicated. As a result, the officers took the Beckum resident into custody and had blood samples taken. The 38-year-old resisted during this process. The officers confiscated the man's driver's license and initiated an investigation against him. The damaged car was towed away. The traffic accident resulted in an estimated damage of 3,300 Euros.
