Olfen, Nordwall / Driving under the influence and without a license

On January 12, 2025, at around 3:25 pm, police officers stopped a 35-year-old motorist on Nordwall in Olfen as part of a general traffic check and inspected him. The Polish motorist, who spoke no German but broken English, immediately admitted to not having a driver's license.
He also did not deny consuming alcohol. A voluntarily conducted preliminary alcohol test showed a value of over two per mille.

At the police station in Lüdinghausen, a blood sample was taken from him and he was prohibited from continuing his journey. A corresponding criminal proceeding was initiated.
