We’re excited to announce Yajun Hu from Shanghai, China, as the 2023 Grand Prize Winner and the 13th Annual MPA Photographer of the Year. Yajun Hu’s mobile photography showcases a consistent and compelling vision.

Their mastery lies in skillfully using shadows, silhouettes, color, and shapes to infuse depth and emotion into compositions. Capturing fleeting moments of human interaction, ironic juxtapositions, and subtle gestures, Yajun offers a unique perspective on our daily surroundings.
