Attempted break-in at jewelry store

On January 13, 2025, at around 02:30 AM, there was an attempted burglary in the pedestrian zone in Vallendar. An as yet unknown perpetrator tried to smash the shop window of a jewelry store with a heavy manhole cover.
The safety glass was significantly damaged but withstood the impact. The perpetrator fled on foot without any loot.

Witnesses who can provide relevant information on the crime and perpetrator are asked to contact the Bendorf police.
