FW Hanover: Fire in business premises quickly under control

At around 5:15 pm, passers-by reported heavy smoke development in a residential and commercial building on Moltkeplatz. The Hanover Regional Control Centre immediately dispatched two fire brigades of the professional fire department, the Buchholz Volunteer Fire Department, and the rescue service to the scene. On site, the emergency services quickly brought the fire in the ground floor office rooms under control. With a C-hose, the fire could be extinguished and the scene handed over to the police after about 1 hour.

The fire department cannot provide any information on the cause of the fire or the amount of damage.

The fire department and rescue service were on site with 45 emergency personnel and 17 vehicles.
