Fire in a double garage

The garage and a vehicle inside were destroyed or severely damaged in the fire. The adjacent buildings were evacuated. The residents were able to return to their homes shortly afterwards. The Greifswald professional fire brigade was on duty with 30 comrades who extinguished the fire. No persons were injured. The damage is initially estimated at approximately 30,000 euros. Investigations into the suspicion of serious negligent arson have been initiated. A fire cause investigator has been commissioned to clarify the exact cause of the fire and will be on site on January 13, 2025.
