This afternoon at around 4:30 pm, a barn on a farm in Bruchhausen-Vilsen, Bodderbarg, caught fire for reasons that are still unclear. The residents were able to escape to safety and the animals from the barn were also brought to safety.
Three residents had to be taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation injuries, they were slightly injured. The fire department was able to prevent the fire from spreading to the residential area of the buildings.

All residents in the surrounding area were asked to keep their windows and doors closed due to heavy smoke development.

After the firefighting operations were completed, the police seized the scene of the fire and began investigations into the cause of the fire.
