Smoking trash can in the backyard

On late Saturday evening, a witness observed smoke rising from three garbage bins located in the backyard of a residential building on Am Anger street in Jena. Consequently, he informed the police.
Apparently, an as yet unknown perpetrator attempted to set the garbage bins on fire. However, since only the contents of the bins were smoldering, further damage was timely averted by the fire department. The Jena police are accepting information about the incident or the unknown perpetrator by phone at 03641/810 or by email at dsl.id.lpi.jena@polizei.thueringen.de.
