The ingredients for a prison cake

The story began on Friday afternoon with the visit of a man known to the police to the North Inspection Service of the Erfurt Police. When the gentleman left the station after his request, the officers noticed that he was carrying a motorcycle helmet. This was quite unusual, as the man should not actually have a driving license. The officers immediately checked the nearby area, could not find the man, but did find a lonely parked motorcycle. However, after a search, nothing suspicious could be found and the search measures had to be discontinued for the time being.

Over the course of the evening, a 28-year-old victim visited the police station and reported a theft. Unknown persons had stolen several items from the victim's car. During the recording of the report and the listing of the stolen goods, however, the officer became suspicious, as among the items were the vehicle papers of the previously mentioned motorcycle.

When asked about the whereabouts of the motorcycle, the victim replied that he had parked it properly. When he wanted to locate the location of the motorcycle as proof, the officers and the owner were surprised, as the vehicle was now in a completely different place.

The patrol cars sent to the new parking spot were subsequently able to find the motorcycle. But not only the vehicle was found by the officers, the well-known 34-year-old was also back on the scene and was trying to start the bike. Before he could leave again, he was arrested by the officers and the loot was secured.

Thus, there was not only suspicion that the perpetrator visited a police station with a stolen motorcycle, but he also admitted to having been on the road without a driving license. A drug test, as the cherry on top, also produced a positive result.

In the end, the court and the public prosecutor's office had the last word in this movie-like piece. Due to the alleged offenses and the relevant previous history of the accused, the 34-year-old was taken to the correctional facility after a detention hearing. (FW)
