Fugitive car driver under the influence of drugs apprehended

On Friday, around 8:10 pm, police officers from the PI Saale-Orla in Neustadt an der Orla intended to check a car on Kahlaer Straße. The driver initially tried to evade this check, which was clearly indicated by blue lights and a stop signal, by fleeing.
He drove at a significantly excessive speed through the town to Lichtenauer Weg and consequently came to a stop on an unpaved forest path. Here, the now 19-year-old accused novice driver could be subjected to further checks. The drug test carried out with him was positive. A blood sample was taken in a hospital.
