First drank, then drove

A 36-year-old man drank far too much alcohol on the night of Sunday. What is not initially prohibited becomes criminally relevant when, after consuming alcohol, one gets behind the wheel of a motor vehicle with an alcohol level of 1.83 per mille and drives it in public traffic.
This happened on 12.01. at 01:55 am in Teistungen. Here, the said 36-year-old was stopped and checked with his car during a traffic control. The breathalyzer test conducted on the spot showed 1.83 per mille. To confirm the value, a blood sample was taken in the hospital. The driver's license was secured and further driving was prohibited.
