In doing so, she overlooked the 63-year-old driver of a Renault car who had right of way and was driving on L 1172 from Bad Frankenhausen towards Artern. This led to a collision of both cars. Both occupants were injured in the collision and had to be taken to the hospital for treatment. Both cars suffered considerable damage (economic total loss) estimated at a total of 16,000 EUR. The vehicles, which were no longer roadworthy, were towed away. The road was closed during the operation. The cleaning of the road was carried out by the road maintenance department.
