(FDS) Fire of a truck trailer on the Federal Highway 28
On Monday morning at around 07:25 a. m.
, a fire broke out on a truck trailer on the Bundesstraße 28, coming from Aach towards Freudenstadt, at the so-called Bacherkreuzung.
The truck driver noticed a loud bang during the drive and saw smoke in his side mirror coming from his trailer. He immediately steered his vehicle to the right side of the road and got out. He then noticed that one of the rear axles of his trailer was on fire. The alerted Freudenstadt fire department was able to extinguish the fire. During the operation, the Bundesstraße in the direction of Freudenstadt was partially closed until 09:20 a. After the firefighting operations were completed, the trailer could be made roadworthy again on site and leave the scene of the fire on its own.
No one was injured. The damage could not be quantified.
