FW Situation: House damaged by water damage - 18.01.2025 - 21:17 Clock

On Saturday, 18.01.2025, the Lage Fire Department was alerted to water damage in Hagen on Hagensche Str. at 21:17. Upon arrival, the emergency services found that a well shaft located on site, consisting of individual concrete rings, had been eroded and had sunk.
The soil in this area had also been eroded and sunk in places, forming a corresponding hole. The exact cause of the sinking and erosion of the soil could not be determined.

The erosion also damaged the foundation of the adjacent residential building, so the THW Detmold and a technical advisor from the THW Halle were called to the scene to check the structural stability. The structural stability of the building was checked by the technical advisor from the THW.

During the course of the operation, no further sinking of the soil was observed, so the operation for the fire department and the THW was ended after approximately 3 hours.

The Hagen unit, the A-Service, as well as the THW Detmold and Halle were in action.

The Hagen unit was back at the scene for a check on Sunday afternoon (19.01.2025). No further changes were observed.
