BPOLI-OG: Under suspicion of smuggling

On January 17, officers of the Federal Police at the Kehl Europe Bridge checked a vehicle occupied by three people after their entry from France. The driver, a Kosovar national, could only identify himself with a French residence permit.
His two passengers, also Kosovar nationals, could not show any identification documents. An investigation procedure is being initiated against the 21-year-old driver on suspicion of smuggling. His two passengers will receive reports for attempted illegal entry into the federal territory. After the completion of the police measures, all persons were denied entry into Germany and they were sent back to France.
