The police, in cooperation with the city of Salzgitter, identified areas and locations where there is an increased incidence of operations. Residents felt their subjective sense of security was being compromised. During the operational phase, they loudly expressed their displeasure to the forces on duty.

With a resolution in the city council, the city of Salzgitter launched the concept "Salzgitter - safe and clean 2.0". The PI Salzgitter/Peine/Wolfenbüttel supports within the framework of the security cooperation in the implementation of the planned measures.

For the reasons mentioned, this comprehensive control measure with a focus on security and order was carried out in the area of Berliner Straße and Salzgitter Fredenberg.

The operational measures led to significant findings. The employees of the city of Salzgitter and the police initiated traffic violation proceedings in 57 cases. Despite the presence of the police, some drivers persisted in their misconduct. A sense of wrongdoing was not apparent in some cases.

In 19 cases, notices had to be issued for illegal waste disposal.

In 56 cases, unregistered vehicles were identified.

This type of control is an essential part of the city of Salzgitter's concept surrounding the issue of security and order.
