Stuttgart Public Prosecutor's Office and Ludwigsburg Police Headquarters

The Criminal Police of the Ludwigsburg Police Headquarters are currently investigating three suspects who are in pre-trial detention in Ludwigsburg following a particularly serious case of theft on Tuesday afternoon (14.01.2025). The store detective of a clothing store in a shopping center in downtown Ludwigsburg had contacted the police by phone on Tuesday at around 5:20 pm.
He reported that he had observed three men packing a large number of clothes into two travel suitcases also offered for sale. They wanted to leave the store without paying. However, they were stopped. The police officers found clothing worth around 3,700 euros in the two suitcases. The 18-year-old Moldovan and the two 24 and 27-year-old Russian suspects were subsequently arrested. At the request of the Stuttgart Public Prosecutor's Office, they were presented to a magistrate at the Ludwigsburg District Court on Wednesday (15.01.2025), who issued arrest warrants for particularly serious theft against all three suspects and put them into effect. He then committed them to correctional facilities. The investigation is ongoing.
