Paid with counterfeit money
In recent days, a fraudster in Erfurt paid for his shopping with counterfeit money. The unknown person had entered a clothing store in the city center.
After he had chosen new clothes, he paid for them at the cash register with a 50-euro note. Upon checking the day's takings, it was finally noticed that it was a counterfeit. An employee of the store reported the incident to the police on Tuesday afternoon. The officers secured the counterfeit note and are now investigating for the circulation of counterfeit money. (SE)
