(UL) Ulm - Collided with traffic sign / A drunk driver caused property damage in Ulm on Wednesday night

Shortly after midnight, a witness reported an accident at Lindenhöhe to the police. There, a VW driver ran over a traffic island crashed into a traffic sign.
At the scene, the police patrol suspected that the 36-year-old driver of the VW Passat was drunk. An alcohol test confirmed this. Therefore, the man had to go to a clinic for a blood test. He had to surrender his driver's license. A tow truck took care of his damaged vehicle. The 36-year-old now faces a charge of endangering road traffic. The damage is estimated at around 3,000 euros.
