Rastatt: Rastatt / Niederbühl - Technical defect causes apartment fire

The two residents were able to leave the burning property unharmed before the emergency services arrived, after they were alerted to the fire by the smoke detector alarm and the heavy smoke development. The damage is estimated at around 10,000 euros. According to current investigations, a technical defect in the oil heating system is assumed to be the cause of the fire.
