Entire Presidium Area: Numerous accidents due to freezing rainWith the onset of freezing rain between 4 a. m.
and 5 a., a large number of traffic accidents occurred due to the resulting ice slick in the entire presidium area. The district of Schwäbisch Hall was first affected, followed by the Ostalbkreis and Rems-Murr-Kreis. The number of accidents cannot yet be quantified numerically. The icy conditions are still ongoing as of 7 a. The clearing services are trying to operate. The situation seems to be relatively mild in the Winnenden and Waiblingen areas. Those who do not have to, should leave their vehicles parked for now. Further reports will follow.
