Even a glance at the police system made it clear: The man is no blank slate. There was a warrant for his arrest for multiple instances of driving without a license - apparently a concept he continues to struggle with, as he was again driving without a valid license this time.
The ownership of the vehicle? Unclear. The license plates? They had been deregistered since 2022 - and, unsurprisingly, belonged to another vehicle. A short drive that revealed several legal violations.
Consequences of the control: The 35-year-old was temporarily arrested and taken to the Euskirchen police station. The vehicle and the mismatched license plates were seized. A detailed investigation into the origin of the vehicle is currently underway at the responsible traffic department.
