BPOLI BHL: Arrest warrants executed in Berlin

On the evening of January 13, 2025, a 53-year-old Turkish citizen appeared as the driver of a car registered in Bulgaria at the Hellendorf border crossing for immigration control. He had not expected his journey to end here.
The Berlin-Tiergarten District Court had issued a warrant for the man's arrest. He was sentenced to 200 and 30 days of substitute imprisonment respectively for bankruptcy and negligent bodily harm. He could have avoided this imprisonment by paying a total of 7,824.80 euros. Since he was unwilling to pay, he was admitted to Dresden Prison.
