He had previously used a tram towards Halle (Saale) main station. During the journey, two male individuals aged 16 and 21 demanded him to hand over cash. The younger one put his hand in his jacket pocket as if he wanted to pull out an object. The older of the duo threatened him verbally. As a result, he handed over 20 euros in cash to the individuals originating from Syria. When the train stopped at the main station, all three individuals got off. The suspects were stopped and addressed in the main hall of the station by the forces. Suddenly, the 16-year-old tried to escape. One of the witnesses held him. Subsequently, he had to be brought down and handcuffed by a federal police officer and a railway security officer. He, his 21-year-old companion, and the victim himself were taken to the Federal Police Station Halle (Saale) for further police measures. During the routine search, the officers found a falsified student ID on the 16-year-old and secured it. The state police took over the case as well as the individuals and items due to jurisdiction. Both suspects will each receive a criminal complaint for robbery extortion. In addition, the 16-year-old will face charges for resisting law enforcement officers and forgery of documents.
