Smartphone snatched from child

They reported to the officers that one of the three, a 13-year-old, had just had his mobile phone stolen. According to the investigations that were initiated, the boys met a man on Am Quälberg Street at around 6:30 pm, who asked the 13-year-old to make a phone call on his smartphone. Fearing that he would not get his mobile phone back, the child refused the request. The three children/teenagers then ran away because the man seemed creepy to them. However, the unknown man pursued them on a dark-colored bicycle, shouting threats. Out of fear, the 13-year-old eventually handed over his smartphone, which the unknown man then fled with.

The perpetrator was described as being 30 to 40 years old and thin. He was wearing dark upper clothing, light trousers, and a backpack. He spoke German and Russian and was apparently intoxicated. As part of the investigations initiated for robbery extortion, the police are looking for witnesses to the crime. Information about the perpetrator can be given by calling 05371 980-0.
