(Donaueschingen / Schwarzwald Baar District) Driver under the influence of alcohol fled (12.01.2025)

In the district of Grüningen, a 25-year-old tried to evade a traffic check on Sunday, but failed. Around 1:30 am, police tried to subject the Audi driver to a traffic check.
Instead of stopping, however, he tried to flee in his car. His escape came to an end on Suntheimstraße in Aufen. The young man had gotten his Audi stuck in the green strip and continued his escape on foot. The two pursuing police officers were able to catch up with him and arrest him. During the arrest, they detected both alcohol and the smell of cannabis. A corresponding test revealed a value of about one per mille. The consequence was the surrender of his driver's license and the initiation of criminal proceedings.
