BPOL-H: Man misses departure - Held on to the outside of a departing regional train

In order not to miss his train, the 31-year-old reacted recklessly and held on to the door of the departing train from the outside. Fortunately, the train attendant inside noticed the dangerous situation, pulled the emergency brake during the start-up process, and thus prevented a potentially fatal outcome. However, when the doors opened again, the man was to be denied travel due to his reckless behavior by the train staff. Apparently unrepentant and arguing with the train attendant, the 31-year-old did not accept the travel ban, so the federal police had to be informed about the incident. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers lectured the unrepentant man about the consequences of his actions and identified several witnesses to the incident.

After the police measures were completed, the 31-year-old was released on the spot. The affected regional train then continued its journey without the man. The federal police are now investigating the 31-year-old for dangerous interference with rail traffic.

The federal police warn that such behavior, in addition to the legal consequences, is also life-threatening. Even at low speeds, people can get caught between the train and the platform edge and may suffer serious to fatal injuries.
