Burglary at a hardware storeOver the past weekend (11.01.2025 - 12.01.2025), between 21:00 and 02:10, there was a break-in at a building materials store on "Südring" street in Wentorf near Hamburg. According to current knowledge, unknown individuals forcibly opened two roller doors to gain access to the sales room.
Subsequently, a safe containing a low four-figure sum of money and a tip jar were stolen.

At the same time, there was also a license plate theft (local identifier LDS) from a parked transporter right next to the burglary site.

A possible connection between the crimes cannot be ruled out and is being investigated.

The Reinbek criminal police have taken over the investigation and are looking for witnesses. Anyone who noticed suspicious persons or vehicles during the period of the crime should contact the officers at telephone number 040/727707-0 or by email at Reinbek.KPSt@polizei.landsh.de.
