BPOLI EBB: Driver hides drugs under child seat

January 13, 2025 / 3:55 PM / MittelherwigsdorfA man hid 69 grams of marijuana buds under the child seat of his Mercedes Benz E-Class and was caught by officers of the Joint Task Force Oberlausitz on January 13, 2025 in Mittelherwigsdorf. The 31-year-old Ukrainian was traveling on the B 96 at around 3:55 PM and was stopped as part of the flexible border controls.
The driver presented the officers with his passport and a valid residence permit. The officers found the buds wrapped in foil under the child seat on the back seat. The Ukrainian was traveling alone and now has to answer for violating the Cannabis Consumption Act. The drugs were confiscated.
