Runners up (2): $50 each and publication in Issue 44, Autumn 2024
The Details:
The Magpie Award is for previously unpublished poems of up to 100 lines in length. Poetry that relies heavily on visual structure is eligible for prize money, but may be excluded from publication if the formatting is difficult to reproduce in print or eBook.
The Deal:
Entry fee: $35 1st poem, $10 each subsequent poem
All entry fees include a 1-year digital subscription to Pulp Literature.

Meet final judge, Renée Sarojini Saklikar
Renée Sarojini Saklikar (Surrey Poet Laureate, 2015–2018) is the author of five books and six chapbooks. Her sci-fi epic in verse, Bramah and the Beggar Boy, was published in 2021. And her latest book in the series, Bramah’s Quest, is available now. Renée’s work has been adapted for opera and visual art, and she teaches creative writing. Visit Renée on X.
