Riot (V): präsentieren mit „Love Beyond The Grave“ finalen Vorabtrack aus kommendem Studioalbum

Ehe das freudig erwartete neue Studioalbum der Kult-US-Metaller Riot (V) in rund vier Wochen endlich via Atomic Fire Records in die Läden und auf die Plattenteller kommen wird, stellt die Truppe mit Love Beyond The Grave einen letzten Vorabtrack, zu dem es auch ein offizielles Lyricvideo zu sehen gibt, vor. Die digitale Single erscheint passend zu ihren dieswöchigen US-Shows, die zeitgleich den Startschuss des Mean Streets-Tourzyklus‘ markieren.

Gitarrist Mike Flyntz blickt auf die Entstehung des Songs zurück: „Ich wollte einen richtiger Brecher schreiben, in dem Judas Priest auf Riots Hard Lovin‘ Man‚treffen. Das Ganze habe ich letztendlich versucht mit Reales Herangehensweise umsetzen.“

Bassist Donnie Van Stavern ergänzt: „Mike kam mit einem gespenstisch-coolen Doppel-Leadgitarren-Intro ums Eck, das zu einem schweren, Riot-typischen Rockriff mutiert. Garniert wird das Stück von einem recht poppigen Zwischenteil, dem ein klasse Mitsingrefrain gegenübersteht.“

Schlagzeuger Frank Gilchriest, der den Text des Stücks mitgeschrieben hat, kommentiert: „Mit diesem erzählen wir als Band eine Geschichte verbotener Liebe, die zwischen der Welt und dem Jenseits hin- und hergerissen zu sein scheint.“

Nach den erwähnten US-Konzerten werden Riot (V) kommenden Monat mit ihren Labelkollegen Tailgunner nach Europa kommen, ehe sie im Laufe des Jahres u.a. auch noch in Japan und Lateinamerika auf der Bühne stehen werden.
